Big Bang is a South Korean boy band. The group's formation was chronicled on the television series Big Bang Documentary, from July to August 2006. The show was also aired online on GomTV and on MTV Korea. Initially a six-member group, one member, Jang Hyun-seung (now a member of Beast), got eliminated during the airing of the show before the official debut leading to their current line-up.

GD is known as an “arrogant city boy” in Korea, but is known by many as a “humble musician” overseas.
He and Taeyang are really close and affectionate friends, because they both entered YG at the mere age of 12, and has constantly been paired together, not to mention their (Almost) debut as a duo.
Has 3 tattoos, one on his back, which says: "Too fast to live, too young to die." 2 on his inner arms, which say (Right): "Vita Dolce," which means 'good life' (Left): "Moderato," which means 'moderate,' a musical term. His stage name was taken from his real name, Jiyong. 'Yong' literally translates to 'Dragon' and 'Ji' sounds like 'G,' hence the name G-Dragon.

'Lie' was supposed to be his solo song, but it was later changed so that the entire group could perform as one.
