Profile (SS501)


SS501 is a South Korean boys band formed in 2005 from the label Daesung Entertainment, also known as DSP Entertainment.
Composed of five members, they were: Kim Hyun Joong, leader of the group / Heo Young Saeng / Kim kyo Joong / Park Jung Min / Kim Hyung Jun
The significance of the group name is "SS" (Super Star), "5" five singers, "0" eternity (where the term comes to eternity five singers) and "1" which is a group.
SS501 is a boys band that combines elements of pop, R & B and even some rock. It is this variety, along with the music, which gave them a place as one of the most loved boy bands of Korea.

But that was just a ‘revenge’ from him to me for trying to put a prank on him. And that is the trigger to the rumor. It was totally a joke, yet, it lead into the GAY rumor instead.”

- Kim Hyun Joong, has been diagnosed with swine flu. (H1N1 Virus). The singer turned actor was in Japan to promote his hit drama series over the weekend, from 5 – 6th September. During the promotion, he had shown signs of a fever and a headache, which caused him to miss his activities on the 6th. Kim Hyun Joong’s manager has been sent to the hospital to check on the matter and will inform the public with more details when available.
He has now recovered from H1N1 and was out of the hospital on September 15, 2009.
