Lee Min Ho


Lee Min Ho is a South Korean actor who is best known for his leading role in 2009 as 'Gu Jun Pyo', the leader of the group of students known as F4, in the South Korean television series Boys Over Flowers. He started his career in small drama roles in 2006, but he came to prominence with his acting role in Boys Over Flowers. He has subsequently appeared in the 2010 romantic comedy drama Personal Taste and the 2011 action drama City Hunter (my favourite dorama) XD .

Biography:


Lee Min-Ho was born in Heukseok-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea on June 22, 1987. His family consists of his mother, father, and one older sister. As a young child, Lee Min-Ho hoped to become a football (soccer) player, but an injury in the 5th grade of elementary school ended those dreams. However, Lee Min-Ho still keeps up with football and mentions Nal-do Ho as his favorite player.
In the 2nd year of his high school career, Lee Min-Ho turned his attention to acting. By the time of Lee Min-Ho's senior year in high school he joined Starhaus Entertainment with the help of an acquaintance. After going through training, Min-ho started auditioning for roles and landed smaller roles in several television dramas. His major breakthough came with Min-ho landing the lead role in the KBS2 drama "Boys Over Flowers" as Gu Jun-pyo. The television series became immensely popular and regularly received ratings of over 30% in South Korea. Lee Min-Ho is currently majoring in Film & Art at Konkuk University.
In 2011 Lee Min-Ho starred in popular drama series "City Hunter." The drama was based off a Japanese manga by Tsukasa Hojo. His co-star in the drama was Park Min-Young. They knew each other for about for 5 years having previously worked together in the KBS2 2007 drama I am Sam. According to management agencies for Lee Min-Ho and Park Min-Young they developed feelings for each other while filming City Hunter. After the completion of "City Hunter" the couple dated more seriously and are now involved as couple.

- Decision of the actor Lee Min Ho was in high school class 2, when he thought about his future.
- The preparation time debut was introduced and signed to the label when he was in class 3 high school. He studied acting from Lee Jae Yong and plans to seek the experience and audition.
- He was friends with II Jung Woo, Kim Bum.
- He has a genuine personality; optimistic and intelligent.
- His first love was a campus-friend when he was 20 years old.
- He admitted that he was crying last time, at age twenty, during summer. He had a car accident with Woo Jung II and some other friends.
- The worst experience when he was taken to the hospital by ambulance (because of the accident).
- He has this habit of talking in his sleep.

- Funny incident while shooting Personal Taste was when he had to do scenes of urination in the toilet. He said, “I’m very embarrassed because it was the first time I have open pants in front of so many people. “
- Min-Ho earned the nickname “the King of Ads” by popularity skyrocketed. He has been ambassador for UNICEF. Many companies were targeted for star made in his ads; starting from clothes, furniture, mobile phones, Dunkin Donuts, drinks, ETC.

- He will reply to questions and comments from his diligent fans if he’s not busy.

- Good friend with Jung II Woo.  When Lee Min Ho was asked about his first impression when he met Jung II Woo, he said that “His face looks like a woman” as he laughed.
- Lee Min Ho likes to read newspapers. Lee Min Ho learned Hangul (Korean characters) from a colorful advertisement in the newspaper.
- Same with Goo Joon Pyo, in his real life, Lee Min Ho can’t swim.  Lee Min Ho started to learn how to swim after his mother and his brother convinced him, but Lee Min Ho insisted on wearing life jacket and goggles while swimming.
- When Lee Min Ho celebrated his 22nd birthday, he received a laptop from his fans.
- Lee Min Ho was rumored to have a relationship with a series of Korean actresses, such as, Kang Min Kyung, Park Bo Young, Moon Chae Won, and Choi Eun Seo.
- When Lee Min Ho was in his primary school, Lee Min Ho was called “The Dark Face” because one side of Lee Min Ho’s face was darker than the other side, and Lee Min Ho was called “Skeleton” because Lee Min Ho was too skinny at school, and Lee Min Ho was called “The Devil” during high school for being too naughty.
